What NGP-INFRA is

NGP-INFRA is an internal infrastructure monitoring platform built and operated by our engineering team. It gives our staff one place to see the health of the systems we run: infrastructure and application metrics, operational dashboards, and alerts for the services we maintain.

NGP-INFRA is not a public or consumer product. There is no public sign-up. Access is limited to our own employees and a small number of approved partners, and it is granted and revoked by our administrators.

View dashboards showing infrastructure and application metrics for our internal systems.
Investigate performance and reliability issues across the services we operate.
Receive and review operational alerts for those services.

Why NGP-INFRA uses Google Sign-In

NGP-INFRA has no password system of its own. Staff sign in with the Google account they already use for work, via Google OAuth 2.0. This is the only purpose for which we use Google: to authenticate the person signing in.

`userinfo.email`	Your email address	To identify you, match you to your team, and grant the right level of access
`userinfo.profile`	Your name and profile picture	To display who you are in the interface and in audit records

We request no other scopes. NGP-INFRA has no access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service data, and it never writes anything to your Google account.

Components of NGP-INFRA

Grafana — Metrics & Dashboards

The dashboard component of NGP-INFRA runs on Grafana. It visualises infrastructure and application metrics collected from our internal systems, and it is where engineers view dashboards and alerts after signing in with Google.

Access	Private deployment for authorised users only; the address is shared internally.
Sign-in	Google OAuth 2.0, using the three scopes listed above.
Who can use it	Staff and approved partners of NGP-INFRA.

What we do with your Google data

We receive your name, email address, Google account ID and profile picture.
We use them only to create and identify your NGP-INFRA account and set your permissions.
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
You can revoke NGP-INFRA's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
